The Father of the Phantom - the man who gave us Erik, Christine and Raoul.

Author of "Phantom", one of the most highly recommended prequels exploring the tragic childhood of Erik and how he became the Phantom. It has become so well-known as the 'next must read' after Leroux's original that it is often considered part of 'Phantom canon' by Phans. It has arguably become the measure by which all phan fic is judged.
